The ammount of information that a person in the middelages received in a lifetime, is equal to what a modern day human being absorbs in one day. Therefore we live in an infobese society. Companies communicate their brand-message to us in suchs a way that it becomes almost impossible for us to ignore or escape their products. They use their creative skills to train us in recognising their brand in a blinck. This is why in the future we could walk through supermarkets full of 'striped-shelves', filled with products that are recognisable by mere abstract color coded products. Can we read colours?
